Built for vineyard managers who care about the fruit.
Frost detection, mildew pressure, ripeness per block, harvest timing, tuned to the cultivars in your rows, the soil under your vines, and the weather heading your way.

The problems that cost you fruit, quality, and sleep.
Overnight frost protection
Per-block temperature monitoring with forecast overlay, a shielded microclimate probe hand-sited in the hollow that frosts first, and every node knowing its own height against the rest of the farm. Once enough nights are in, the forecast is corrected for what the forecaster gets wrong about your ground. The system warns you hours ahead which rows are at risk, and, through certified control modules on the TerraCast node's own bus, can trigger frost protection automatically when thresholds are crossed. Safety interlocks sit in our layer.
Mildew & botrytis pressure
Humidity, temperature, and leaf wetness correlated with disease risk models. You see pressure building per block before symptoms appear, early enough to spray preventatively rather than curatively.
Block-level irrigation precision
Soil moisture at the depth your roots actually sit, across every block, with nodes stacked at 10, 30 and 60 cm wherever you want the full profile. Tank-level monitoring, plus pump and valve control through certified relay modules on the node's own bus, with safety interlocks in our layer. A trunk collar on the vine reads what it actually took — the daily shrink and the overnight refill, in microns — so a full profile the vine is not drinking from shows up as the stress it is. Irrigate the block that needs it, leave the one that doesn't, or let the scheduler decide and confirm its card.
Ripeness tracking
Cumulative heat, soil moisture stress, and UV exposure tracked per block. The AI correlates sensor trends with your cultivar's ripening profile to estimate progression and flag divergence.
Harvest timing
When each block is approaching optimal harvest window, based on accumulated data through the season. Not a single date for the whole property, a per-block schedule informed by actual conditions.
Spray register and withholding periods
Every application recorded against the block, with its pre-harvest interval copied onto the record at the time of work. A harvest booked inside a withholding period is flagged on the morning briefing rather than found by a buyer, and the register exports as one row per product per application.
One gateway. Sensors in every block.
We put nodes where your vineyard actually varies rather than on a grid — the frost pocket at the bottom of the slope, the end of the row that dries first, the corner that picks up botrytis every year. A uniform block might need one. A block that changes underfoot needs a few. We walk it with you and decide together.
One LoRa gateway covers the property. Tank-level and flow sensors go on your existing irrigation infrastructure. No trenching, no wiring, no disruption to the vines.
AI tuned to the cultivar in the row, not just "grapes."
Tell us what's planted where. The AI adjusts its thresholds, recommendations, and disease models to match each cultivar's specific tolerances and growth stages.
Pinot Noir
Thin-skinned, frost-sensitive, prone to botrytis. The AI watches humidity and canopy temperature with tighter thresholds and earlier warnings.
Chardonnay
Early budding, susceptible to spring frost. Heat accumulation tracking calibrated to Chardonnay's ripening curve, with block-specific sunlight exposure factored in.
Shiraz
Heat-tolerant but water-sensitive. The AI focuses on soil moisture management through the growing season and flags over-irrigation risk as much as deficit.
These are examples. TerraCast supports any cultivar, tell us what you grow, and we calibrate.
What a season looks like with TerraCast.
We're documenting a full growing season from deployment through harvest with one of our early vineyard partners. Frost events caught, irrigation decisions made, disease pressure navigated, all tracked by the system. The write-up will appear here.
